Dr. Anate Aelon, M.D., is a board-certified specialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility with extensive experience in advanced fertility care. She earned her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in recognition of academic excellence.
She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Prior to joining Shady Grove Fertility, Dr. Anate Aelon served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU School of Medicine.
Dr. Anate Aelon provides comprehensive fertility care and is known for combining evidence-based medicine with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Her goal is to optimize treatment outcomes while minimizing emotional and physical stress for patients navigating fertility challenges.
Clinical Focus
Dr. Anate Aelon has expertise in ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg freezing, pre-implantation genetic testing, and third-party reproduction, including donor egg, donor sperm, donor embryo, and gestational surrogacy. She applies current clinical research and advanced reproductive technologies to tailor treatment plans to each patient’s unique circumstances.
Her academic and clinical interests include fertility preservation, diminished ovarian reserve, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and fertility care for patients using gestational carriers. She is especially committed to helping young patients with cancer preserve fertility and build families.

Dr. Anate Aelon has published research and presented at national medical meetings on a range of fertility-related topics, including fertility preservation, complementary therapies in infertility, and optimizing outcomes in complex reproductive cases. Personal Interests
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Anate Aelon enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys cooking and staying active through running and indoor cycling. Dr. Anate Aelon is fluent in English and Hebrew and sees patients at RMANY’s East Side office in Manhattan.
